Export Credit Greece (ECG) has entered into a new partnership with Saudi Export-Import Bank (Saudi EXIM) by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoU) in the framework of strengthening the economic ties between the two countries. The Memorandum was signed on behalf of the Greek side by Mr. Grigoris Stamatopoulos, CEO of Export Credit Greece, and on behalf of the Arab side by H.E. Saad A. Alkhalb, CEO of Saudi EXIM Bank. The agreement with the Arab banking institution is one more action taken by ECG to promote Greek exports, with the aim of strengthening the economy’s extroversion and Greece’s position.
At the heart of the cooperation between the two organizations is the strengthening of bilateral trade between Greece and Saudi Arabia, the promotion of exports and investments, and the exchange of know-how and best practices.
Mr. Grigoris Stamatopoulos, CEO of ECG, expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two organizations: “The signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between Export Credit Greece and Saudi EXIM Bank is a pivotal point for relations between the two countries, as it will be a significant step towards strengthening commercial and economic relations, increasing the prospects of penetration of Greek export companies into Saudi Arabia. From our part, we are at the disposal of the Saudi EXIM Bank team to support the efforts of Saudi Arabian companies for the Greek market. We firmly believe that our cooperation with Saudi EXIM Bank will bring significant benefits to the businesses and economies of the two countries.”
